Description
Users who have forgotten their password will be able to reset their password by entering their Username and Email Address. If the Username and Email Address matches a record found in the database, then a new temporary password is emailed to them. This password is valid for a system configurable number of days, after which the user’s account will be suspended, and access will only be obtained after calling the Contact Centre to reinstate the account. Additionally, the user’s Password Failure Counter (for Login) will be cleared. Once a user has logged on with the system-generated temporary password, then they will be forced to modify their password before completing the login process.

Did you know?
A preconditions section defines all the conditions that must be true (i.e. describes the state of the system) for the trigger (see below) to meaningfully cause the initiation of the use case. That is, if the system is not in the state described in the preconditions, the behavior of the use case is indeterminate.
Note that the preconditions are not the same thing as the "trigger" the mere fact that the preconditions are met does NOT initiate the use case.
